This is my review of an interesting offroad motorcycle Beta Alp 200 manufactured in Italy. I have the chance to ride it in amazing nature of Tuscany and Ital.

Differences between the X and the Alp 4.0. These bikes are mostly the same, but the Alp 4.0 rolls on 21-18 wheels while the X has a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear with more street-friendly tires, more in-line with a scrambler layout. That means the X has a lower seat height of 33.6 inches, when compared to the Alp 4.0's 34-inch seat height.
Beta Alp 200 Trials / Enduro Bike.
The Beta Alp 200 weighs only 108 kg and is powered by a 199 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air cooled, S.O.H.C engine. The engine is combined with a 6.0 liters fuel tank and a five speed.

2004 Beta Alp 200
The Beta ALP 200 is a premium off-road focused Enduro style bike. It's powered by an air-cooled 199 cc single cylinder four stroke engine which puts out 15.1 bhp at 7,750 rpm and maximum torque at 6,000 rpm. It's the same design used in the Suzuki DR200. The wire-spoked 21" front wheel takes a 90/90 tyre and the rear 18" a 120/80.

Been looking at the Beta Alp 200 and wondering if it can sensibly be used as a dual purpose bike? Is anyone trialing on one, and how does it rate? I am very strictly in the wobbler category so have no need for the latest, lightest, most powerfull trials bike. For road riding I only need something for local B roads. No great distances intended.

Hi everyone, I've recently got myself a Beta Alp 200 (2001 model) as a project, it's missing the pretty much all the electrics so was wondering if it would be possible to fit the required parts from a suzuki DR200 as the parts for these are more common on ebay and the beta shares the same.

On the ground, the Beto Alp 200 overcomes any obstacle. The engine that drives this trial / enduro cross is a tried and tested air-cooled four-stroke engine that can probably be used in a cultivator without any problems. Its rugged construction and low revs make it virtually indestructible, and the maintenance costs are not even worth mentioning.

To do that, Beta has come out with the XTrainer dirt bike, combining trials and trails features. But even before that machine came out, Beta had the Alp series, a cruder take on that concept. Once upon a time, there was the Beta Alp 4.0 and the Beta Alp 2.0; now, only the smaller bike remains in the lineup, under the name Alp 200.

You won't go far wrong with the 200 ALP, the Suzuki engine is very reliable and the bike has a fantastic turning circle, I rode one that was second hand a few years back and I found it more 'lively' probably due to the gearing than my new at the time CRF230 and the Beta was 1/3rd of.
